Hosea
As we were working our way through the book of 2Kings, we hit chapter 14. Historically, that’s the time period of some of the “minor prophets.” So it seemed like a good juncture to pause our study of 2Kings and look at what the prophets were saying concerning God’s future dealings with the house of Israel and the house of Judah. We’ve begun with Hosea, a story of sin, rejection, scattering and restoration. It’s a story of astounding grace in the face of unquestionable sin and rebellion. It’s a story of hope, a story of faithfulness, and a story of the God we serve keeping covenant with His people, despite their desire for other gods. And it predicts the very things we’ll see come to fruition in the balance of 2Kings.
